It was a crazy week this week. Our golden investigator came in from the VC toward the end of the week! His name is Anthony and he is already in 2nd Nephi! We called him on Saturday and invited him to church and sure enough, he came to all 3 meetings! He said he enjoyed it and loved how family oriented we are. I love the ward we are in, we announced that he may be coming in our meeting before church, and they all introduced themselves to him right away! We were late to class because of all of the people that were talking to him. Definitely a really good problem to have :) We are set to start teaching him this Friday!
We were also able to teach Bro. Pool this week and he said that he wants his Baptism to be in March or in May! He is very solid, it is just a matter of him continuing to pray to know when the exact date will be. Please continue to pray for him as he strives to follow Christ.
We were able to teach Jeff as well, he is smiling a lot more and his family is really growing closer together. He said that it is easy to notice the difference in doing the little things (prayer, church, FHE) and says that life just works out better when you are doing what you are supposed to. Please continue to pray for him as well as he strives to overcome his trials.
The news you may or may not have been waiting for is in.. Elder Ili will be serving in Maui, and I will continue to serve in Mililani with Elder Griffin, who I will meet this Wednesday. He has been out a little longer than I have, and I believe is from Utah as well. It still has not hit me though, getting a new companion is pretty hard to think about, to be honest I am a little nervous but I know it will all work out.
This is a picture of the 3 amigos. Elder Henderson, Elder Ili and I. Elder Henderson is one of 4 Elders going to the Island of Molokai. These guys have been really good to me and I am going to miss them!
Love you guys, I hope you have a great week!

This week we tried to keep our momentum going from last, but it kinda fell apart, we visited 25-30 part member/less active families a day and none of them were home or interested. It got better toward the end though. We got permission to go on our ward temple night because we brought an investigator. We watched Meet the Mormons, it was super good! Also finished the after Baptism lessons with Keonie and started them with Taylor who just moved into the ward. We also received a golden investigator from the Visitor Center. I will keep you posted on that.

The best part is that Bro. Pool said he was ready to be baptized! He just wants to continue praying about a date. We are set up to teach him the 3rd lesson this week.
The work in Mililani is at a high right now, unfortunately there is a 95% chance that Elder Ili or I will leave next week.. Kinda bummed about that, but we have been together longer than the majority of the Elders out here.
This is our stud Zone leader Elder Hineman, he has been good to us and goes home to Arizona this week.

I hope you all, have a great week!

So this week was awesome! We beat our old record and taught 20 lessons this week and got 10 new investigators! Elder Ili and I have really started to figure it out. We also did a lot of service this week and a killer hike today. It was beautiful, and really hard. Here is a picture on top of one of the peaks.

Brother Pool is starting the lessons back up this week! His wife just had her baby and so we have not seen them for a while but he is our strongest investigator. We have been working a lot more with Jeff and the Bishop, he is calling the mission President to try to squeeze another transfer with both of us together. We will see how that goes, we have been together a while now.  Anyways I hope you have a great week, love you!

This week we had Zone Conference, that is always awesome. President Warner said that I should send this picture home because he and his wife liked it so much, so here it is!

This is the traditional way to cook a pig. We helped out for a little bit for an activity our Zone was doing. To hold up the bar requires 30-40lbs of lifting, and you have to rotate it slowly for about 3 hours. They know that there are easier ways to rotate it, and to hold it in place so that you don't have to, but I guess that is the cool thing about it. He said it tastes much better when you do it this way.
This week was good! We are continuing to work with Jeff and we started the after Baptismal lessons with him and Bishop. We also joined him in a class to help him overcome what he is struggling with. We got a few new investigators this week, one of them is really solid. She is a referral from the Mission office, which means she was seeking us out!  We are going to visit her this week, she just got out of the hospital though so we need to see how she is doing. Bro. Pool is still doing good, his wife had her baby and we should be teaching him the Plan of Salvation this week! The rest of the week was pretty normal, Super bowl Sunday was rough, no one wanted to listen or answer the door but we were invited to an investigators house for dinner who we helped move in last month. They are an awesome family who is really open to the missionaries. They are outside of our area, but I should be able to keep you posted on how they are doing.
Other than that, the work is picking up. The members have started helping us even more to find people this week. Hawaii is treating me great and my testimony grows more every week. I hope you are all doing well, I love you guys!
